Seth is the Director of Collective Impact at Social Venture Partners Dallas. In this role, Seth helps to organize bigBANG!, the largest annual social innovation conference in North Texas along with assisting in the incubation of the Dallas Center for Arts and Technology (DCAT). Before joining SVP Dallas, Seth was the Grants and Contract Specialist for Dallas Public Library where he worked on grant projects to help with COVID-19 vaccine outreach, access to telemedicine in Dallas and programs to improve literacy and workforce development. Prior to transitioning to public service, Seth worked for five years in the legal industry. During this time, Seth worked in the areas of Home Court Approval (New York and Ohio), Subrogation (with a focus on Medicare and private health insurance liens), and aviation accidents.
A 2014 graduate of Texas Christian University, Seth received his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice and as a member of the National Political Science Honor Society. In his senior year, Seth spent the fall semester in D.C interning for U.S Congressman Beto O’Rourke. Seth helped legislative staff advise the Congressman on matters involving criminal justice reform (mandatory minimum reform and risk assessments in sentencing), the U.S response to the civil war in Syria, the U.S-Iran nuclear deal negotiations known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and environmental protections and regulations. Seth received first honors at The Addran Festival for a presentation of his paper examining the root causes of burglary in Fort Worth through the use of mapping software and criminological theories. A long-time intern of State Senator Wendy Davis, serving both in her District Office and her Senate re-election campaign, upon graduation Seth worked as the Deputy Operations Director for her gubernatorial campaign. In this role, Seth oversaw and managed the campaign’s online store which raised $250,000.00 and managed the campaign’s internship program.
Outside of work, Seth is passionate about helping in the community and giving back. This includes being an alumnus of the Dana Juett Residency at SVP and Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy at Communities Foundation of Texas. Currently, Seth is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at Philanthropy Kids and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at Union Coffee.
