As the Director of Capacity Building at Social Venture Partners (SVP) Dallas, Danielle King plays a pivotal role in enhancing and expanding the impact of both our network of Partners and the nonprofit organizations we support. In this dynamic position, Danielle works dynamically across all SVP Dallas programs and events, overseeing critical initiatives such as the Opportunities Committee Advisee to Investee Cycle, our Partner Collaborations on capacity-building projects, and managing the Nonprofit Impact Institute.
Collaborating with both nonprofit and business sector leaders, Danielle thrives in the continuous learning environment that each new day presents. The opportunity to tackle diverse challenges and grow professionally and personally is something she embraces wholeheartedly while connecting with top-tier professionals and experts across multiple fields.
Beyond her core responsibilities, Danielle partners with an outstanding team to organize community events, manage sponsorships and partnerships, and ensure that stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, Partners, and the broader community, stay informed on the collective impact of our work. Together, they are committed to doing good, better.
Prior to her role at SVP Dallas, Danielle honed her project management expertise in the commercial film industry, where she worked as a production manager and line producer for projects shooting across the U.S. and Mexico. Her work included overseeing high-profile campaigns for brands like Subaru and HEB—sometimes in exciting, unconventional locations, like hanging out of a helicopter in Mexico. Since transitioning into the nonprofit sector with SVP Dallas, Danielle has embraced the challenge of applying her skills to meaningful initiatives such as bigBANG!, SILS, NPII, and the Opportunities Committee, among others.
Her diverse background and passion for creating social impact make her an integral part of the SVP Dallas team.
However, Danielle considers her greatest achievement as being the mom to two beautiful boys, Jackson and Julien. This active family can often be found exploring a hiking trail or beach, enjoying the latest showing at the DMA or the Kimbell, or just taking their favorite evening walks together.
