DALLAS –Social Venture Partners Dallas bigBANG! 2026 will feature nonprofit leaders who survived tough times from New York City in the COVID-19 pandemic to public radio and television since the dismantling of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Inspiring speakers will share how they made their organizations and communities more resilient in the process.

  • Lisette Nieves became President of the Fund for the City of New York in September 2020, stepping into the role during the COVID-19 pandemic and leading one of New York City’s most prominent civic organizations through a period of extraordinary disruption and change.
  • Paul Quinn College, the oldest of Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) in Texas, hired Dr. Michael Sorrell as its President when its accreditation was at risk.  Under his leadership, the liberal arts college has emerged as one of the nation’s leading HBCUs and a model for innovative, community-centered higher education.
  • Nico Leone, President & CEO of North Texas Public Broadcasting, has successfully navigated the elimination of federal funding for PBS and NPR affiliates in the nation’s fifth largest media market while expanding operations to include management of the oldest radio station west of the Mississippi, municipally-owned classical station WRR.
  • Following the dissolution of longtime Dallas social service provider CitySquare, Brenda Snitzer led The Stewpot’s acquisition of CitySquare’s former campus, continued CitySquare Neighbor Resource Center and Food Pantry offerings, and relocated The Stewpot operations from downtown Dallas in the midst of its 50th anniversary.
