2021 will be pivotal. We are currently experiencing a global pandemic and the decisions made during the 87th Texas Legislative session will affect our communities. As we learned in the Texas Legislature Responds, the state level is important and where bills become law, money is allocated, and the budget is determined for the coming years.
With the many challenges faced during this time, it can be overwhelming to think about getting involved with the Texas Legislative session. Join us on Tuesday, December 15th at 12 noon for this SVP Dallas Workshop, which will be a “how to” for nonprofits and others that want to get involved in the upcoming Texas Legislative session. Participants will learn the inner workings of the Texas Capitol, the first steps to navigate proposed bills and analyze how they will affect communities as well as what are the things to look for in this 87th session.
